TermDefinition
Memo a formal document sent to someone in your company or group.
E-mail formal message written, sent and recived on a computer.
Letter a document used to send a written message to someone outside an organization.
Invoice a bill for items or services purchased from a comapny.
Subject line a memo that states the main idea or topic of the message.
Body the body of a memo.
Refrence initials the initials of the person who keyed the memo.
Attatchment notation tells the recipient that another seprate doc is attatched to the memo.
Encloser tells the recipent that the document is included with the memo but not attached to it.
Copy notation indicates that a copy of the memo is being sent to the person(s) named.
Blind copy notation indicates that a copy of the memo is being sent to person(s) named with out the recipents knowledge.
Spam email messages including unsolicited junk messages.
Netiquette a set of informal guidlines for behaving courteously online.
Flames angry or insulting messages.
Emoticon combination of keyboard charachter or icons used in messages to show emotions.
Instant messaging a means in communicating electronically via text and message with one or more people.
Contact list a list of people with whom you communicate with.
Open punctuation no punctuation follows the salutation or complimentary close.
Mix punctuation a colon follows the salutation and a comma follows the complimentary close.
Post script a sentence or paragraph at the end of the letter that reinforce the message or provides additional information.
