Get ready for the test.

TermDefinition
Observing Using one or more of your senses to gather information.
Qualitative Observations Descriptions that do NOT involve numbers or measurements. Ex. Finding out what color something is.
Quantitative Observations Descriptions that DO involve numbers and/or measurements. Ex. Measuring your weight or height.
Inferring Based on reasoning from your knowledge.
Hypothesize Making a forecast of what you think will happen based on your knowledge.
Physical Science The study of matter, energy, and the changes that they undergo.
Chemistry The study of the properties of matter and how they change.
Physics The study of matter and energy; how they interact.
