These terms are all from Dr. King's Letter from Birmingham Jail

TermDefinition
abyss a deep chasm or infinite source of darkness
gadflies individuals who are willing to speak up and argue against injustices
harried another way of saying harrassed
interrelatedness to be connected such that one group's condition affects everyone's condition.
jurists people who serve on a jury; it also refers generally to those who give judgment or verdicts
paradoxically describing something that is contradictory to another truth and yet itself is true.
paternalistically pater=father The tone of speaking down to someone as if you were their father.
query a question
resentments feelings of hurt, pain, or emotional distress
segregationist a name for people who openly supported and endorsed segregation
unfettered describes something that is without stoppage or limit.
