Coteaching Vocab

These flashcards contain the five types of coteaching methods.

TermDefinition
Modification a change in what is being taught to the student or expected from the student
Inclusion placing student with special needs in the general education environment with assistance from a special educator
Instructional Technology Technology used to improve and enhance student learning and instruction
Assistive Technology technology used to enhance or improve a persons abilities to complete daily life tasks or ability to access the educational curriculum
Lead and Support One teacher teaches while the other walks around the classroom to provide individual support.
Station Teaching Individually planned content provided by both teachers. Students change areas halfway through class.
Parallel Teaching Joint planning with the same content delivered consistently
Alternative Teaching Joint planning with the same content being delivered, but one teacher has a large group while the other has a small group
Team Teaching Joint planning and both teachers deliver instruction to whole group as one.
Accommodation a change, adaptation, or addition of materials, information, lessons, assignments, or technology assist a student in improving his or her learning
