| Kinetic Energy | The energy has because of its motion. |
| Mechanical Energy | The energy that an object has because of its motion or position. |
| Model | A representation of a system, object or concept. Models are used to simplify and make things easier to understand. |
| Potential Energy | Stored energy. |
| System | A set of parts that are connected in some way. |
| Circuit | The complete loop through which an electrical current can pass. |
| Electrical Energy | Energy from interactions between charged particles (electrons). |
| Electricity | The presence or movement of charged particles called electrons. |
| Energy | The ability to do work. Anything that makes matter move or change |
| Energy Transfer | When energy is changed from one form to another. For example, electrical energy into light energy. |
| Green Energy | Energy that comes from sources that do not pollute the Earth. |
| Primary Energy | Energy sources found in nature that have not been subjected to any conversion or transformation process. |
| Secondary Energy | Energy which has been transformed from another source. |
| Force | Push or pull. |
| Simple Machines | Make work easier for us by allowing us to push or pull over increased distances. |
| Mechanical Advantage | The difference between the applied force and the work accomplished. |
| Mechanical Efficiency | The effectiveness of the machine's performance. |
