digoxin immune Fab (Ovine) Digibind Antidote for severe digitalis toxicity. (blank)
inamrinone Inocor Increases force and velocity of myocardial tissues. Positive inotropic effect n/v, abdominal pain, fever, taste alterations, chest pain.
quinidine (Group I-A) Quinora Antidysrhythmic. Decrease conduction velocity anorexia, bitter taste, n/v, abdominal distress, flushing, rash, tinnitus, confusion
lidocaine (Group I-B) Xylocaine local and topical anesthetic and antidysrhythmic, especially for ventricular dysrhythmias after cardiac surgery or MI. dizziness, anorexia, n/v, chest pain, and breathing difficulties.
propranolol (Group II) Inderal Control cardiac dysrhythmias caused by excessive sympathetic nerve activity. (blank)
amiodarone Cordarone Increases refractory period in all cardiac tissues. Decreases automaticity, prolongs AV conduction, and decreases the automaticity of Purkinje fibers. dizziness, bitter taste, headache, flushing, n/v, constipation, weight loss, numbness and tingling in fingers, fever, dyspnea.
adenosine Adenocard Slow AV node conduction. Converts paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia to normal sinus rhythm. dyspnea, flushing, nausea, headache, dizziness, tingling in arms, sinus tachycardia, sinus bradycardia, skipped beats.
clonidine Catapres Decreased CO, heart rate, and peripheral vascular resistance. Prophylaxis of migraine or vascular headaches. Treats Tourette's syndrome. Nicotine/opioid withdrawal. dry mouth, headaches, constipation, weakness, postural hypotension, impotency, insomnia, anxiety, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, pruritis.
methyldopa Aldomet Safe for pregnancy. Decreased CO, heart rate, peripheral vascular resistance. drowsiness, dry mouth, headaches, edema of feet and legs, postural hypotension, impotency, insomnia, depression, anxiety.
prazosin Minipress Decreased Peripheral vascular resistance. Adjunct therapy to digoxin and diuretics in treatment of CHF. weakness, n/v, stuffy nose, orthostatic hypotension, angina, edema,, headaches, syncope, SOB
