| Pt. education for scabies, pediculosis infection | Follow directions of scabicide/pediculide carefully. Wash all washable items in HOT water. Seal non-washable items in a plastic bag for 48-72 hours to kill, then dry clean. Sprays can be used on furniture. Advise school. Thoroughly clean house. |

| Cause of Acne Vulgaris | At puberty the sebaceous glands enlarge and the secretion of sebum increases. Sebum is an irritant fatty acid. This blocks the follicular canal. |
| Patient education regarding Acne treatment | Do not administer to children under 12 yo. Acne will get worse briefly before it resolves because the medication pulls the sebum to the surface. |
| Benzoyl peroxide | Ind: mild to moderate acne No systemic absorption- Pregnancy C; May cause drying, peeling, inflammation, swelling |
