use (lortab) relieves moderate pain
Forms (Lortab) Capsules, talet, oral solution
Stengths (Lortab) adults: 1 cap every 4-6 hours prn, tab 1 or 2 every 4-6 hours prn, oral solution 103 tsp every 4 to 6 hours prn
Tell HCP (Lortab) history or drug/achohol abuse, suffere from convulsions, or kidney disease, underactive thyroid, gaul bladder disease
Side Effects (Lortab) drowsiness, diziness vomiting, light headedness, severe cold, clammy skin, severe confusion, convusions, drop in blood pressure
Use/Treats (Zithromax) difficult infections, respitory infections, h. pylori, lyme disease
Drug interactions (Zithromax) amioadrone (Azithromycin may block break down of drug in the body, amiodarone causes azithromycin to excrete out of the body faster), antacids (decreases absorption)
Form/Strengths (Zithromax) Z-pak: 6, 250 mg tabs, Tri-pak: 3, 500 mg tabs250, 500, 600 mg tabs
Side effects (Zithromax) dark urine, hearing loss (ototoxicity), exhibit diarrhea that last more than 3 days, call doctor if you do not feel better
Class (Motrin) NSAID (Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drug)
Use (Mortin) relieves pain, swelling and stiffness caused by arthritis, treats headaches, menstral pain, tooth aches... special uses gout & arthritis of the spine
Black Box Warning (Motrin) high risk of having a heart attck/stroke (aspirin is the exception), may cause ulcers, drug mucosal lining of stomach may decrease, can lead to bleeding ulcers
Use (Coumadin) prevents blood clots
Class (Coumadin) anticoagulant
Black Box Warning (Coumadin) contact sports, watch out for cuts and bleeding ulcers, surgery/dental procedures then stop for 2-5 days
Generic name (Synthroid) Levothyroxine
Forms/Strengths (Synthroid) 25, 50, 75, 88, 100, 112, 125, 137, 150, 175, 200, 300 mcg tabs
Tell HCP (Synthroid) suffer from Osteoporosis, angina, diabetes, dieting or on a weight loss program, suffer from fertility problems
Drug interactions (Synthroid) Tums/Rolaids (reduces effect, antacid), Cholestyramine (decreases, cholesterol decreases), iron supplements (binds with everything, reduces effects) Doabetes meds (elevates blood sugar level, herbal products (weight loss)
Side Effects (Synthroid) difficulties breathing, shortness of breath, excess sweating, intolerance to heat, swelling of ankles, feet or legs
Florida Negative Formulary (Synthroid) may NOT exchange a brand name for generic
