| Cell | In a spreadsheet, a row-column location that may contain numerical values, words, or character data, and formulas or calculation commands. |
| Computer Platforms | Types of computer systems identified by their operating systems. |
| Database Software | A program that allows information to be collected and organized to allow easy retrieval through keyword searching, used to be one of the basic programs, but, though still used in education and elsewhere. |
| Files | The products created by a database program; any collection of data stored in a computer or on a computer medium. |
| Formula | In a spreadsheet, a command inserted in a cell and used to do calculations on data. |
| Google Docs | Tools offered through a special Google site that provide users access to online programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation. |
| Integrated Packages | Software products that have several applications in a single package. |
| Open-Source Software | Computer software available online in which the source code is made available in the public domain and permits users to use, change, and improve the software, and to redistribute it in modified or unmodified form. |
| Presentation Software | Type of software that allows a display of information organized as a set of slides. |
| Software Suits | A set of programs that perform different functions but are placed in the same package and designed to work well together. |
| Spreadsheets | Software designed to store data by row-column positions known as cells; can also do calculations on the data. |
| Worksheets | Another name besides "spreadsheet" for the product of a spreadsheet program. |
