Involuntary Muscle A muscle that is not under conscious control (heart, lungs)
Voluntary Muscle A muscle that is under conscious control
Skeletal Muscle A muscle that is attached the bones of the skeleton and provides the force that moves the bones
Tendon Strong connective tissue that attaches muscle to bone
Straited muscle A muscle that appears banded
Smooth Muscle Involuntary muscle found inside many internal organs of the body
Cardiac Muscle A muscle tissue only found in the heart
Epidermis Outer layer of the skin (the part you can see)
Dermis The inner layer of the skin
Melanin A pigment that gives skin its color
Pore An opening through which sweat reaches the surface of the skin
Follicle Structure in the dermis of the skin from which as strand of hair grows
Cancer A disease in which cells divide uncontrolablly
