| electrical energy | energy associated with electric charge |
| electromagnetic energy | form of energy that travels through space in waves |
| nuclear energy | energy stored in an atomic nuclei |
| energy conversion | the process of changing energy from one form to another |
| nonrenewable energy sources | exist in limited quantities once used cannot be replaced |
