Matter

Term Definition
Atom The smallest component of an element and it is made up of a nucleus, protons, electrons, and neutrons.
Molecule The smallest physical unit of a compound or a element.
Matter The substance or substances of which any physical object consists or is composed.
Element A class of a substance that can not be broken down into simpler substances.
Compound Composed if two or more elements.
Pure Substance A substance made up of one type of matter.
Mixture A substance made up of multiple types of matter
Homogeneous A mixture were the particles are evenly distributed
Heterogeneous A mixture were the particles are not evenly distributed
