Matter with atoms and molecules

TermDefintion
Matter Everything all around us.
Atom Make up molecules.
Molecules Make up matter (everything).
Element It is only one substance, can not be broken down.
Compound 2 or more elements combined to make one substance.
Pure substance Made up of 1 type of matter.
Mixture 2 or more substances combined to make 1 substance.
Homogeneous A mixture where the particles are evenly distributed in the substance.
Heterogeneous A mixture where the particles are not evenly distributed.
