Spreadsheet Vocab

spreadsheet a software program that allows you to organize, analyze, calculate, and chart numerical data
workbook a spreadsheet file that contains multiple worksheets
rows and columns they intersect to form a spreadsheet grid
cell each box in the grid
active cell the heavy line that outlines the cell
cell address the column letter and row number intersection
name box shows the coordinates or address of the active cell
cell A1 home position
control & home will always take the active cell back to the home position
numeric data are called values, and values will automatically right align in a cell
text data are called labels, and labels will automatically left align in a cell
