Pharmocology
| Drug Class | Implication for PT | Drug Names |

| ACE Inhibitors | If they have heart failure, avoid rapid increases in activity. Avoid sudden changes in posture (risk for hypotension) | Lisinopril, captorpril |
| Anticoagulants | Avoid injury or bruising because excessive bleeding can occur- see lab values (PTT and INR) | Coumadin (Warfarin), Heparin, Lovenox |
| Antithrombotic (antiplatelet) agents | Avoid injury- risk of excessive bleeding | Aspirin, Plavix, Persantine |
| Beta Blockers | HR and BP response to exercise will be diminished. Use RPE to monitor intensity. Risk of orthostatic hyootension. | Lopressor, -lol |
| Calcium channel blockers | HR and BP response to exercise will be diminished. Use RPE to monitor intensity. Risk of orthostatic hyootension. | Norvasc, Procardia, -pine |
| Diuretic | Decreased BP. Monitor for electolyte imbalance (muscle weakness, cramping) | Lasix, Thiazide |
