Cell Definitions

Cell Membrane Like the bouncer of the club, some things get in, some things get out. (Selectively permeable)
Nucleus Controls the center of the cell, where all genetic information is.
Nuclear Envelope Like the cell membrane, protects the nucleus. (Selectively permeable)
Nuclear Pore A tunnel going through the cell, lets bigger things into or out of the nucleus.
Nucleolus Stores information for making RNA.
Chromatin Uncoiled DNA. (Looks like roman noodles)
Cytoplasm Jelly-like substance, gives the cell its shape.
Mitochondrion Powerhouse of the cell.
Golgi Complex Package & ship (Like UPS)
Centriole Used when the cell divines.
Microtubule Gets the "thing" there faster. (Cellular Highway)
Microfilament Gives the cell its shape, makes up the cell skeleton.
Ribosome Makes proteins.
E.R. Rough-Full of ribosome. (Protein Factory) Smooth-No ribosome, makes fats.
Vacuole Storage unit.
Lysosome Janitor. Something breaks? This dissolves it.
