Potential Stored Energy
Kinetic Energy Any type of energy that is moving
Motion Energy Motion energy is the energy present in moving things,such as the win,a racing car,or a soaring ball.
Chemical Energy Chemical energy is energy stored in materials such as,food,batteries,dynamite,and gasoline.
Gravitational Energy The energy started in objects that are in position to fall.Once the object falls a different kind of energy happens.
Elastic Energy The energy used in stretchy object: rubber bands, springs contain Elastic energy.
Heat Energy (thermal) The energy a substance has as a result if temp.higher temp = more heat energy.
Light Energy The energy that is carried by light rays
Electrical energy The energy that electricity provides
Sound Energy The energy carried by sound waves.
Thermal Another word for Heat
Tempature The measurement of the amount of thermal heat an object contains.
Friction The force resisting relative motion of surfaced that touch 2 rubbing in different direcions.
Molecule The smallest partical in which an element or or compound can be divided without changing its properties.
Radiation Where heat energy is traveling by invisable rays through space from the source (sun)
Convection Heat moving through a solid (stove top)
Insulators Substances that dont really allow heat to pass through them.
Condution Where heat energy travels through soilds such as medals.
