| Peninsula | Land that is almost completely surrounded by water. |
| Beach | a rocky or sandy edge of land along a body of water. |
| River | a large stream of water that flows across the land. |
| Marsh | Low land with moist soil and tall grass. |
| Archipelago | a large group of islands. |
| Cape | Point of land that extends into water. |
| Waterfall | Steep drop from a high place to a lower place in a stream or river |
| Iceberg | a huge block of floating ice that has broken off a glacier. |
| Gulf | a body of water that is partly enclosed by land but larger than a bay. |
| Canyon | Deep narrow valley with steep sides. |
