Region Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Functional Region A region which retains specific details and characteristics within a certain location.
Perceptual Region The common feelings or attitudes towards a specific region.
Formal Region Regions from anywhere on the globe that are similar in features.
Physical Characteristics Characteristics of a region or place which are visually noticeable and usually measurable.
Human Characteristics Characteristics of a place which are related to the people within the place.
Boundaries A line or divider that marks the edge of something.
Unifying To make or become a whole or to combine into one.
