Movement Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Migration The movement of something from one place to another, usually describes the seasonal movements of birds and other animals.
Transportation The system or action of carrying people or things from one place to another.
Pull Factors Some thing or fact about another place which causes people or animals to go there.
Push Factors Some thing or fact about a place that causes people or animals to want to leave that place.
Space Time Compression Anything that alters relationships or interactions through space or time, such as phone calls, text messages, etc.
Immigration The act of coming to a foreign country in order to live there permanently.
Technology The application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes.
