Positivism - concepts Objective reality, independent observer, replicable results, linear causation, summation of small advances
Positivism - deductive method Deductive: certainty (premise/theory leads to a testable conclusion). eg. Socrates was a person, people have legs, therefore Socrates had legs; Affirming the evidence or denying the consequence
Positivism Theory that knowledge can only be derived from direct observation and experimentation
Positivism - inductive method Inductive: probability (theory/premise is generated from elements of observation), eg.
