| Scientific Method | Series of steps followed to answer questions or solve problems. |
| Hypothesis | Educated guess as to what will happen. |
| Variable | Anything that is different or can be changed in an experiment. |
| Mass | Amount of matter in something. |
| Volume | The amount of space something takes up. |
| Metrics | System of measurement based on the number 10. |
| SI Units | "International System of Units"; Measurement standards that all scientists use for uniformity and equal measure. |
| Responsibility | The sate of being the person who caused something; A duty or task that you are required or expected to do; Something you should do because it is morally right; legally required, etc. |
| Precision | Exactness of measurement; how close together measurements are to each other. |
| Matter | Anything that has mass or takes up space. |
| Density | Mass compared to volume; How much matter something has compared to how much space it takes up |
| Accuracy | How close the measurement is to what is accepted or what it should be. |
| Meter | Standard metric measurement for length |
| Liter | Standard metric measurement for volume. |
