QuestionAnswer
What does physical science mean? study of matter and energy; chemistry and physics
What does scientific method mean? series of steps followed to answer questions or solve problems
What is a hypothesis? Educated guess as to what will happen
What is a variable? anything that is different or can be changed in an experiment
What is volume? the amount of space an object takes up
What is metrics? system of measurement based on the number 10
What is SI Units? international System of Units; measurment standards that all scientists use for uniformity and equal measure
What is responsibility? the state of being the person who cause something to happen; a duty or task that you are required or expected to do;
What is precision? exactness of measurement; how close together measurements are to each other
What is matter? anything that has mass and takes up space
What is density? mass compared to volume; how much matter something has compared to how much space it takes up
What is accuracy? how close the measurement is to what is accepted or what it should be
What is meter? standard metric measurement for length
What is liter? standard metric measurement for volume
