General Anatomy and Physiology-bones
| Term | Definition |

| Humerus | Uppermost and largest bone of the arm extending from the elbow to the shoulder |
| Ulna | Inner and larger bone of the forearm attached to the wrist and located on the side of the little finger. |
| Radius | Smaller bone in the forearm on the same side as the thumb |
| Carpus | The wrist consists of 8 bones |
| Metacarpus | Bones of the palm of the hand consists of 5 bones |
| Phalanges | Bones of the fingers or toes also called digits |
| Femur | heavy long bone that forms the upper leg |
| Tibia | the larger of of the two bones in the lower leg it is on the big toe side of the leg |
| Fibula | the smaller of the two bones in the lower leg on the little toe side of the leg |
| patella | knee cap joint |
| talus | ankle bone |
| tarsal | bones of the ankle and upper foot 7 bones |
| metatarsal | long slender bones of the foot 5 bones |
| Hamate | largest bone of the wrist |
| Pisaform | Smallest bone of the wrist |
| Calcaneus | heel |
| Navicular | bone on the top of the upper foot |
| cuboid | largest of the four bones of the upper foot |
| cuneiforms | 3 smaller bones that make up the upper foot |
| scapula | shoulder blade |
| clavicle | collar bone |
| Plantar surface | sole of the foot |
