bradycardia slow heart rate
carcinoma cancerous tumor
cardiomyopathy disease of the heart muscle
cerebrovascular pertaining to the brain and the vascular system that supplies it with blood
cholecystectomy surgical removal of the gallbladder
dermatitis inflammation of the skin
dyspepsia a condition of difficult digestion; indigestion; stomach upset
epidural pertaining to the area above the dura mater or the area surrounding the spinal cord and brain
hematoma blood-filled tumor; bruise
hyperglycemia a condition of elevated glucose in the blood
hyperkalemia high blood potassium level
hypertension high blood pressure
hypokalemia low blood potassium level
hypotension low blood pressure
hysterectomy surgical removal of the uterus
immunocompromised describes a condition in which the immune system response is weakened or rendered ineffective by illness or disease
inhalation the action of breathing or inspiration; the process of breathing a medication into the lungs
intracardiac into the heart; into the heart muscle; within the heart
intramuscular within or into the muscle
intranasal into the nose or nasal passages; within the nose or nasal passages
intraocular into the eye(s); within the eye(s)
intrathecal within the subarachnoid space; into or within the spinal cord
leukopenia a blood condition in which there is a low number of white blood cells
myalgia muscle pain
nephritis inflammation of the kidney
neuralgia nerve pain
pancreatitis inflammation of the pancreas
septicemia a systemic bacterial infection of the blood
subcutaneous under the skin; pertaining to the tissue underlying the dermis
sublingual under the tongue
tachycardia fast heart rate
topical applied to the skin
tracheotomy an incision into the trachea; insertion of a breathing tube into the trachea
