Periodic Law Pattern of repeating properties
Atomic mass unit One twelfth of a carbon -12 atom
Metals Good conductors of heat and electricity.
Transition metals forms a bridge from the left and right sides of the periodic table.
Nonmetals poor conductors of heat and electric currents
Metalloids properties falling between metals and nonmetals.
Valence Electron Electron in the highest occupied energy level
Alkali Metals Elements in group one
Alkaline earth metals All elements in group two
Halogens Elements in group seven
Noble gases Elements in group eight
Periodic table Arrangement of elements in a column based on properties that repeat row to row.
