| what are the risk factors or causes? | there are no known causes, but expersts believe abnormal functioning of brain circuits and chemicals can be a cause |
| how is the disease detected? | if there's a manic phase and a depressive phase |
| what are the treatment options? | medicine called Seroquel XR. |
| are there side effects for these treatments? | yes high fever, dizziness, confusion, stiff muscles, and increased suicidal thoughts, and aggressive behavior |
| if i am diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, will i need to be on medication for the rest of my life? | not really, but you are encouraged to stay on it if you are a threat |
| is there a test to tell ahead of time if i will get the disorder? | no, but there are tests to evaluate if you think you have it. |
