Cell Organization Cells come in many different shapes and sizes. A cells shape is determined by its function.
Tissues A tissue is a large group of similar specialized cells. A tissue gets its characteristics from the type of cell that forms it.
Organs Organs are formed from tissue. An organ is a group of related tissues that perform a specific function. Even if two organs are made of the same tissue they can be different in appearance and function.
Organ Systems Organs are organized into organ systems. Organ systems are related organs that work together to perform a specific function. Organ systems combine to form the entire organism.
Circulatory System Responsible for bringing oxygen and nutrients to all cells. It also takes carbon dioxide and wastes away from cells. Main parts include: the heart, arteries,veins,and capillaries. The heart pumps blood to parts of your body. The arteries carry blood away
Respiratory System Responsible for bringing oxygen to the blood. Main parts include: the bronchial tube, lungs,alveoli,and the diaphragm. The alveoli transfer oxygen into surrounding capillaries and in return the alveoli receive carbon dioxide. When you inhale, your diapgra

Excretory System Responsible for removing wastes from the body. Main parts include: Kidneys,bladder and colon. The Excretory system removes waste from the digestive system and blood.
