| velocity | a speed in a specific direction |
| acceleration | the rate at which velocity changes |
| centripetal acceleration | acceleration in a circular motion |
| force | a push or pull |
| inertia | the tendency of all objects to resist a change in motion |
| net force | the combo of all of the forces acting on an object |
| gravity | a force of attraction between objects due to their mass |
| free fall | gravity is pulling down and no other forces are acting on it |

| pascal | the SI unit of pressure |
| atmospheric pressure | the pressure caused by the weight of the atmosphere |
| buoyant force | an upward force that fluids exert on all matter |
| Archimedes principle | states that the buoyant force acting on an states that a buoyant force acting on an object in a fluid is an upward force equal to the weight of fluid that the object displaces |
