TermDefinition
Position Describes the location of an object.
Reference point A location to which you compare other locations.
Motion A change in position over time.
Speed A measure of how far something goes in a given amount of time.
Vector A quantity that has both size and direction.
Velocity Speed in a specific direction.
Acceleration Rate at which velocity changes.
Centripetal Acceleration Acceleration in a circular motion.
Force Simply a push or a pull.
Net force The combination of all forces acting on an object.
Inerta Tendency of all objects to resist change in motion.
Gravity Force of attraction between objects due to their mass.
Free fall Gravity is pulling something Down and no forces acting on it.
Orbit When an object travels around another in space.
