TermDefinition
Position The location of an object.
Reference point A location to which you compare other locations.
Motion A changed in position over time.
Speed How far an object moves in a given amount of time.
Vector A quantity that has both size and direction.
Velocity Speed in a specific direction
Acceleration The rate at which velocity changed
Centripetal acceleration Acceleration in a circular motion.
Force A simple push or pull.
Inertia The tendency of all objects to resist a change.
Net Force The combination of all forces acting on an object.
Gravity A force of attraction between two objects.
Free Fall When gravity is pulling an object down.
Orbit An object that travels around another object in space.
