TermDefinition
position Describes the location of an object.
reference point A location to which you compare other locations.
motion A change in a position over time.
speed Measure of how far something moves in a given amount of time.
vetor A quantity that has both size and direction.
velocity Speed in a specific direction.
accelleration The rate at which velocity changes.
centripetal acceleration Acceleration in a circular motion.
force A push or pull.
net force The combination of all the forces acting on an object.
inertia Tendency of all objects to resist a change in motion.
gravity Force of attraction between objects due to their mass.
free fall Gravity is pulling it down and no other forces are acting on it.
orbit When an object travles around another object in space.
