| speed | object is a measure of how far something moves in a given amount of time |
| vector | is a quantity that has both size direction |
| velocity | speed in a specific direction |
| acceleration | the rate at which v in velocity changes |
| centripetal acceleration | acceleration circular motion |
| force | simply a push or a pull |
| net force | combination of all the forces acting on an object |
| inertia | tendency of all objects to resist a change in motion |
| gravity | a force of attraction between objects due to their mass |
| free fall | when gravity is pulling it down and no other forces are acting on it |
| orbit | when it travels around another object in space |
