| centripetal acceleration | acceleration in a circular motion |
| force | a push or pull |
| net force | the combination of all forces acting on an object |
| inertia | the tendency in all objects to resist a change in motion |
| gravity | the force of attraction between objects due to their mass |
| free fall | when gravity is pulling an object down but no other force is acting on it |
| orbit | when an object travels around another object in space |
