| Reference Point | a location in which you compare other locations |
| Motion | change in position over time |
| Speed | measure of how far an object moves in a given amount of time |
| Vector | quantity that has speed and direction |
| Velocity | speed in a specific direction |
| Acceleration | rate at which velocity changes |
| Centripetal accelertion | acceleration in a circular motion |
| Force | a push or pull |
| Net force | the combination of all forces acting on an object |
| Gravity | a force of attraction between objects due to their mass |
| Inertia | tendency of all objects to resist a change in motion |
| Free fall | when gravity is pulling down and no other forces are acting on it |
| Orbit | when an object travels around another object in space |
