Reflect and Refract

TermDefinition
Reflection Is the bouncing back of a wave when it meets a surface or a boundary that does NOT absorbs the Entire wave's Energy.
Normal A line Perpendicular to the surface the wave hits.
Law of Reflection The Angle incoming wave make to the normal of the surface equals the angle that the outgoing wave makes to the normal.
Refraction The Bending of waves caused by a change in there speed as they pass from one medium to another
Concave Lens They make light waves produce smaller images
Convex Lens They make light waves produce Larger images
Prisms • refract light waves and separate white light into its different colors by bending the light at different angles depending on the frequencies of the light passing through the prism
