Eye Notes

QuestionAnswer
Cornea A transparent Layer in the front of the eye.Also refracts 70% of the incoming light waves that have been emitted/Reflected by an object
Iris The Colored muscles that control how much light gets into the eye via the pupil
Pupil The opening in which the lights get into the eye(Black Circle)
lens A transparent convex lens and Further refracts (30%) image and focuses the light at the back of the eye
Retina The innermost layer of the eye also composed of tiny light sensitive nerves (Rods & Cones)and converts light into nerve impulses that are sent to the optic nerve
Optic Nerve Impulses received from the Retina travel through this nerve to the brain for Interpretation as sight
Color Filters Light the same color as the filters will make it go through.
Color Blindness The Inability to sense the difference between some colors and Usually affects males because it is a trait found on the X Chromosome
20-20 vision This Means YOU CAN read at 20 feet what the normal eye can read at 20 feet
