top edge or head tops of the book's pages
headcap top edge of the spine
back cover/back board the back of the book -- where often a summary of the book is written
spine the side or edge of the book you see on the shelf
hinge where the spine and the covers meet
tail the bottom of the book
headband or endband fabric that joins the pages to the spine -- it often looks striped
endpapers or endsheets the paper glued to the insides of the covers
bookblock or textblock the pages of the book
flyleaf the first loose page of a book -- it's usually a blank page
