insulator a material that does not let heat energy or electricity pass through it easily

light a form of energy that travels in a straight line and can move through empty space where there is no air
medium a type of matter such as glass, water, air
reflect/reflected/reflection/reflective the bouncing back of light
refract/refracted/refraction/refractive the bending of light
prism a medium that distorts, slants, or colors whatever is viewed through it
lens a material with different curves on each side that bends light rays as they pass through it
force cause of motion or change, a push or pull

gravity a force that attracts objects to each other

friction a force between two surfaces rubbing against each other which effects motion
magnetism a force that pulls magnetic materials toward each other
