medium a type of matter such as glass, water, air

prism a medium that distorts, slants, or colors whatever is viewed through it
lens a material with different curves on each side that bends light rays as they pass through it
force cause of motion or change, a push or pull

friction a force between two surfaces rubbing against each other which effects motion
magnetism a force that pulls magnetic materials toward each other
