Science review for Light/Sound Waves

wave any disturbance that transmits energy through matter or empty space
medium a substance a wave can travel through (can be a solid, liquid, or a gas)
amplitude the height of a wave (from their rest position)
wavelength the distance between two crests or two troughs in a wave
crest the highest point on a wave
trough the lowest point on a wave
frequency the number of waves produced in a given amount of time
reflection the bouncing back when a wave hits a surface or barrier
refraction the bending of a wave as it passes from one medium to another at an angle because the speed of the wave changes
wave speed the speed a wave travels through a medium
