Geography Terms for test 2.0

thematic map A map that shows a certain theme.
physical features shows landforms and bodies of water
landforms natural features of landscape
vegetation plants found in a certain area
climate shows patterers of weather
economic activity jobs in a area
population density the # of people who live in an area.
region a certain region, different from other people
latitude the closer to the equator, the warmer it is.
elevation the weather at the top of a mountain and the weather at the bottom compared.
nearness to water places near the water have milder weather while places not near the water have more extreme weather.
ocean currents a warm current warms the area and a cool current cools the area
