| newtons second law of motion | states that the accleration of an object is in the same direction as the net forc on the object and the acclration equals the net forc dived by the mass |
| friction | force that oppose the sliding motion between two touch surfaces |
| static friction | friction force that prevents two surfaces from sliding past each other |
| silding friction | friction force that opposes the motion of two surfaces silding past each other |
| air resistances | force that opposes the motion of objects that move through the air |
| gravity | attractive force beweteen two objects that depends on the massses of the objects and distance between them |
| weight | gravitional force exerted on an object |
| centripetal acceleration | accelertion of an object toward the center of a curved or circular path |
| centrpetal force | a net force that is directed toward the center of a curved or circular path |
| newtons third law of motion | sate that when one objects exerts a force on a sound object the sound object exrts a force on the frist object eual in strenth and in the opposite directiony |
| momentum | property of a moveing object that euals its mass time its velocity. |
