Movement Snack Stack

TermDefinition
Migration the movement of people from one place in the world to another
Transportation a device that is used to move an item from one location to another
Pull Factors the lure of another country, region, organization, or religion
Push Factors A factor that leaves one with no choice but to leave one's current home (especially parental home), country, region, organization, or religion
Space-Time Compression the set of processes that cause the relative distances between places (i.e., as measured in terms of travel time or cost) to contract, effectively making such places grow “closer"
Immigration the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country
Technology the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, esp. in industry
