TermDefinition
Functional Region A type of region that is characterized for its function (such as a drainage basin, etc.)
Perceptual Region Regions that often reflect human views and emotions (basically based around humans)
Formal Region These are places with similar characteristics
Physical Characteristics Include things like land-forms (such as mountain ranges, forests, oceans, valleys, etc.)
Human Characteristics Include things like buildings, restaurants, etc.
Boundaries These are specific borders given to an area or space
Unifying To be united, uniform, or whole
