The judicial branch of government does what to certain matter? Decides or ajudicates
What is criminal law? Criminal law protects society from the wrongdoing of an individual
What is civil law? Civil law deals with relationships between and among individuals.
What is a tort? A tort is injury or wrong done to an individual that can be compensated or recive compensation.
What is the difference between a felony and a misdemeanor? A felony is a serious crime in which the indivuidual will recieve more than one year in prison. A misdemeanor is a not-so-serious crime, and the individual gets less than a year in prison.
What is a capitol felony? A capitol felony is a felony in which an individual(s) commit treason, murder, etc.
What is the role of the Judicial Branch of government? The Judicial branch judges the constituionality of the law(s).
What is the role of the Executive Branch of government? The executive branch enforces the law.
What is the role of the Legislative Branch of government? The legislative branch makes the law(s).
What are Georgia's Seven Deadly Sins? Murder, Rape, Armed Robbery, Aggravated child molestation, Aggravated Sodomy, Aggravted sexual battery, Voluntary manslaughter.
The Georgia State Constitution ensures- Freedom, liberty, justice, peace, and happiness for all citizens.
Georgia State Constitution contains- 11 articles
Georgia Bill of Rights- contains 28 articles
Government originates from- the people/electorates, voters
Plantiff the individual filing lsawsuit to Defendant
Defendant the individual who has committed/ or been accused of committing crime
