QuestionAnswer
software a set of instructions, also called a program or application, that tells a computer how to perform tasks.
operating system software that controls all of the other software programs and allows the computer to perform basic tasks.
hardware includes all of the physical parts of a computer
Digital Includes all of the physical parts of a computer.
Hard drive A built-in storage device inside a computer.
input Information that entered into a computer
output information that a computer produces or processes
external storage device A storage device that can be easily removed from a computer and is often small and portable
Read-only memory (ROM) Memory that hold data that can be read by a digital device but cannot be changed or deleted.
E-portfolio A collection of the best documents and projects you have created an saved in an election of the best docs and projects you have created and saved in an electronic format
Speech recognition Speech recognition allows a user to enter text and give commands to the computer by speaking into a microphone.
PDA Personal digital assistant
Tablet PC Keyboard, mouse, speaking, or handwriting and pointing on a PDA or Tablet PC
Wordpad WordPad is a basic word processor that is included with almost all versions of Microsoft Windows from Windows 95 upwards.
Handheld education Often called personal digital assistance.
