TermDefinition
Plot The sequence of events in a story
Exposition Background information that the author presents in the beginning of the story
Rising Action The series of events that build from the exposition and end up with the climax
Climax The turning point of the story
Falling action Includes the event after the climax, which closes the story
Resolution The end of the central conflict.
Denouement All events that occur after the resolution
Ptotagonist The main character in the story
Antagonist The character or force that opposes the protagonist.
Dynamic "Round Character" a character that changest throughout the stoey
Static "Flat" Character a character that doesnt change throughout the story
Foil A character who, by displaying oppoite traits, emphasizes certain aspects of another character.
