Fiction Genres

QuestionAnswer
Realistic Fiction The character's behavior, the story's action and it's plot events are believable—they could actually happen. The plot revolves around a dilemma or conflict concerning the main character, where in the end, he/she learns something about life.
Mysteries Plot contains an unexplained event or unsolved crime with unpredictable plot twists. The events are suspenseful and often contain dangerous or threatening situations. There's a search to solve it, leaving clues and evidence for the reader.
Romance About the highs and lows of being in love: crushes, unrequited love, love triangles, jealousies, love from the guy's view, individuals looking for love, difficulties in relationships, or couples struggling to be together. Mostly happy endings.
