These are the terms from "In the Beginning" and "Noah and the Flood."

| character | a persona in a story |
| setting | time and place where the story takes place |
| conflict | trouble on the horizon, a problem that must be solved |
| rising action | the plot becomes more complicated |
| climax | the conflict is taken head on |
| falling action | the plot unravels as a result of the climax |
| resolution | the state of the world at the end of the story |
| frame story | a story within a story |
| VOCAB terminate | To end or to reach the end point |
| VOCAB subsided | wear off or die down; sink to a lower level |
| VOCAB covenant | an agreement between two parties. In this case, the agreement is between God and the people. |
