| What is psychophysiology? | The study of the correlation between physiological problems and psychological problems |
| what are 3 kinds of stressors? | Biological, Psychological, Social |
| Biological Stressors include: | Infections, physical trauma, disease, malnutrition, and fatigue |
| Psychological Stressors include: | Such as threats of physical harm, attacks on self-esteem, and guilt-inducing attacks on one's belief system. |
| Social Stressors include: | Such as crowding, excessive noise, economic pressures, natural disasters, and war. |
| Migraine headache symptoms are: | Nausea, sensitivity to light, sound, odors, and movement. |
| Tension headaches are: | On both sides of head. Tightness or pressure around neck or head. |
| Cluster headaches include: | Excruciating stabbing or burning sensations located in eye or cheek. Eye often teary, nose clogged on side of head w/ pain; pacing and rubbing head. |
| Psychophysiological Disorders are any physical disorders that | demonstrate a temporal relationship between psychological factors and the course of a physical illness, interfere w/ treatment, constitute additional health risk factors |
